Ricky Ponting set to follow Imran Khan’s footsteps, decides to start his political career

Reportedly, Australia’s former skipper, Ricky Ponting has announced the retirement from the international cricket to start his political career.

According to sources, the legendary batsman is highly impressed with the leadership skills of Pakistan’s former skipper, Imran Khan, who led his side to win the World Cup in 1992.

Ponting, who also guided Australia to win the World Cup twice, has come to the conclusion that winning the mega event has always been a key to make the natives fool, making them to consider someone as a big political leader.

Moreover, the master batsman also decided to formulate his political party, which he is going to announce very soon in a press conference in his hometown, Tasmania.

Sources affirmed that the way Imran Khan has been trying to cash the World Cup glory to be considered as a competent and patriot leader in Pakistan compelled Ponting to follow his footsteps.

Following the news that Ponting is all set to start his political career after serving the country outstandingly, Australian nation has yet not showed any positive response in this regard, as they believe leading the side in cricket
in not a benchmark to lead the nation.
