Famous writer J.K Rowling inquires about ethics in journalism
Sunday, November 27th, 2011 8:57:40 by Umair HassanFamous writer of Harry Porter and many other novels J. K Rowling is showing her great frustration over the growing immoral practice of journalism not only in UK but across the world.
She was giving an interview in a local news paper where she comprehensively described her inner feelings about the emergent and fresh culture of bringing truth in an immoral manner that not only sends a negative message but also puts someone life on stake
with many different angles.
Rowling said about paparazzi and other tabloids, which have always troubled her life with many different prospective. She said, “I felt I was being blackmailed, what they really wanted was a photo of me gratefully receiving back the stolen manuscript.” She
further added “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone became a sensation. The seven Potter books have sold more than 450 million copies, spawned a hit movie series and propelled Rowling from struggling single mother to one of Britain’s richest people. “When
you become well-known … no one gives you a guidebook. This episode caused real emotional hurt; It portrayed me as a vindictive person who would use a book to vilify anyone against whom I had a grudge.”
The reason she was critically judging today’s media, tabloids and paparazzi that in recent and especially in 2011 in Britain alone, the tabloid journalists gone way beyond the limits of civility of journalism. It is more than just repugnant argument and
it is very revolting too in a deep sense that has created so much hatred among the general public who have always relied and trusted on this sacred profession.
