A new iPad 2: How much juice does it have till the next iPad release

Apple’s signature tablet, iPad 2 had been the target of many prior to the Black Friday. The latest edition was expected to have marginal discounts over the holiday weekend. However, the sale was hindered by one reason.

Apple have been avowed as persistent in releases of new editions to their devices and if everything goes smoothly, the new iPad will hit the shelves somewhere in mid-March.

Therefore, what to do with an iPad purchased on the Black Friday? Let’s see, if there is any positive in purchasing the to-date-latest tablet.

In news elicited in the light of various rumours, Apple is expected to launch two versions of iPad in 2012; one will be the March launch and the second will be in the latter half of the year.

The March launch is expected to be an upgrade to the iPad 2, presumably iPad 2S. This will incorporate a dual-core A5 chip processor and an increase RAM with built-in iOS 5. This version will also have Siri, the virtual assistant.

The camera is expected to be improved to at least 5 megapixels with a wider aperture. There are also some speculations that the 2S will have a retina display but that is still farfetched as a notion.

The second-half release is likely to have an HD screen with an 8 mega-pixel camera capable of recording 1080p video. Rumour has it that Apple has cracked the battery thickness and timing problem and are importing important hardware from China and Taiwan
for a much slimmer battery and longer timing than the benchmarked 11 hours.

The November released—the anticipated month for the second iPad launch—will be remarkably thinner as compared to its predecessors. However, if the March release does not incorporate retina display, the HD version will. However, in that case the thinness
will be compromised. But it will still be the same in bredth as the iPad 2.

If all these details have some considerable substance in them then it is a wise decision to purchase an iPad 2 in the holiday season. Over the year, the value depreciation will only be $1 and some cents and it will still be a good bargain in the used market.

However, if aforementioned scenario is not true and Apple shell out the all-new version in March, then the Black Friday purchase is in a jam of $4 and some cents depreciation every day until it becomes obsolete after an iPad 3.
