Pakistan needs to realise its identity

It is no secret that Pakistan is on the brink of socio-economic failure, where the incumbent situation is swiftly marching towards the looming disaster. It is saddening to see that my country is struggling to withstand its full weight without any external
aid, but this grave picture is only getting gloomier day by day.

The worst part is that no one else is to be blamed for our dwindling situation but we ourselves. We are responsible for falling prey to the string of corrupt leaderships, which had never left our side to date. Resultantly, we had to endure the burden of
their brainless decisions, which though were tagged as very beneficial for the country, were in fact  bad news in disguise.

In my view point, my country is a victim of our own misjudgements. We as a nation, were never clear in our head what we want for ourselves. This mounting confusion continued to build on until it has reached a point, where it is safe to say that Pakistan
is actually producing Pakistani Born Confused Wannabies (PBCW).

The country which was made in the name of Allah, is now slowly drifting away from its root cause, in a weird attempt to emulate what Western hemisphere of our planet is doing. However, the emulation is selective in nature too, which means we are only open
to embracing their vices and the evils and have turned completely blind towards whatever good that may be happening in their part of the world.

This means that we look up to them to adopt the newest in drug abuse and crime and not concentrating  on how well they have structure their society, be it the health or the education sector of their country.

Over time analysing various situations has revealed that we are not even proud of our identity- our national language, which is rapidly getting replaced by English. For some strange reasons, we prefer communicating in English over Urdu, which should have
been otherwise.

The fact of the matter is that we should channel all our energies to feel comfortable in our own skin, instead of wasting away time trying to be like someone whom we can never be like.
