Carter Bays reveal spoilers for Season 7 of “How I Met Your Mother”

“How I Met Your Mother” has already stepped into its 7^th season and yet we have not gotten any closer to the identity of Ted’s wife than we were in season 1. Just when we began to give consideration to the possibility that there was no mother
after all and that Ted had probably adopted the two children that he is narrating the entire tale of how he met their mother, it has been revealed by Carter Bays, the writer of the show, that the long-awaited encounter between Ted and his bride to be will
finally take place in May of 2012.

However, it is not yet clear whether the couple would interact with each other as the show has already made us pull our hair out with sheer frustration on numerous occasions, each time using some sort of prop to keep the woman hidden from our view while
depriving Ted of the sight of his future wife at the same time.

Talking to TV Guide, Bays revealed that Ted Mosby will be meeting her at his best friend Barney Stinson’s wedding. However, there was no guarantee if the two were going to actually see each other and whether the audience will be getting a glimpse of the
woman that they have been dying for years to look at.

"In May, we will follow Ted to the bride’s dressing room and meet her,” Bays revealed during his interview with TV Guide. “Some monumental things are ahead that will change Ted’s life irrevocably and make it a different show going forward. We’re going to
get into why he’s still single. He’s going to start realizing some things and exploring some new territory."

May 2012 will not only raise the curtain over the mystery of Ted’s future wife, but also reveal the future of Robin Scherbatsky’s relationship with Kevin as some big steps are taken. However Bays refrained from leaking anything of these huge steps and whether
they will serve as a bane of boon for her current relationship.

May of the upcoming year will also see Marshall Erickson and Lily Aldrin take on the role of parents as their little bundle of joy makes his way into this world.

Chris Elliott will be returning as Lily’s father Mickey in several episodes. Bays let the suspense hang over the appearance of Mickey and his relation with his daughter, which had been quite strained in the past due to his lack of attention.

It seems that the next few months are all set to unveil quite a number of mysteries and bring in a handful of surprises in the 7^th season of “How I Met Your Mother”.
