Is everything fair in War and Love?

Sorry to say, but I am doubtful of the mental condition of the scholar who uttered “Everything is fair in war and love”. By saying so, he gave mandate to the extremists to go beyond humanity—-here I mean extremists for both lovers and warriors.

Looking into the essence of the quotation, it seems to be silly and nonsense. It clearly bypasses human moralities which, I think, are essential for peaceful existence on this planet.   Going through the history, you will find that most of the immoral and
inhuman things have happened in these two arenas i.e., War and Love. Why? Because in both conditions, revengeful feelings dominate mind and heart.

There is famous saying I believe on with the depths of my faith. “The person, who expresses his anger, is not brave actually; brave is one who stays calm in anger”.  Any individual, who keeps this proverb in mind, cannot accept the shitty notion that everything
is fair in war and love.

Suppose for a moment, if you start believing that you can do everything when you are at war, you will kill innocent children, tear out immaculate women, crush angle-like old men, burn homes, raze down buildings and desecrate religious place. You will surely
make no difference between right and wrong, between just and unjust and between human and inhuman. What will be the end result? Just destruction, just blood and just sorrow.

The same is with love. Active upon on the bullshit notion, you will not avoid cheating, flirting or even murdering your beloved just to satisfy your high-voltage emotions which are often erroneous. On the other hand, you may also go for making love and doing
some other such type of unethical things with your beloved. Again in this condition, there will be tension, stress and frustration.

What is the way out then? Just to draw boundary between moralities and immoralities and do the former only. I want to clarify one thing here. The definition of moralities should not be drawn from any religion, tradition, custom, norm, culture or social set
up. Rather, it should merely be based upon humanity, no less no more.

Be human whether you are at war—however, there is no need of war if you control your mind as I have already described briefly in my publications—or in love. Never do what your mind and its by-product, emotions, recommend. Just do what your common sense,
if you have, considers to be better and what is right in humanity point of view.

Aggression, anger and extremism are the result of narrow thinking. Be broad, be cosmopolitan and accommodate all. Accept and respect all. This is the only recipe for a peaceful and happy life that is very rare in this world.
