Latest Rumour surrounding the release of third generation iPad

New editions to the Apple devices are always highly awaited right after the release of the latest one. With the launch of iPhone 4S, the customers started counting sheep until the iPhone 5 hits the market.
Now that almost three quarters have passed since the iPad 2-release in March, the new iPad 3 is highly expected in the US. However, with expectations come rumours and Apple has always been the sweat heart in tech gossips.
A credible source has revealed that Apple has started manufacturing the next generation iPad that is expected to be unleashed in later half of March—presumably iPad 3. The company has started talks with international vendors for QXGA 2046×1536 resolution
screens for the successor tablet.
The major suppliers for the aforesaid hardware are Samsung, Sharp and LGD. Three vendors for a single piece of hardware are more than enough to higher expectations for a new edition.
Although Apple has always been observed punctual in the release of next edition to their signature devices, the iPhone 4S’ delayed release raised some suspicion that iPad 3 might see a similar scenario.
In addition to the screen inventory, Apple is also rumoured to consider a new denomination to their slate. The company is considering manufacturing a 7-inch version of iPad, in addition to the 10-inch device, if there is any demand in the market.
Surely enough there is demand for 7-inch tablets. The Kindle Fire is the top choice among tablet enthusiasts, who want a slate within a budget of $200. Furthermore, HP made top seller of non-iPad devices in last 10 months, gouging 17 percent of 1.2 million
units sold with their 7-inch Fire Sale. Samsung Galaxy Tab came 2nd with 16% and Asus Eee Pad took 3rd place with 10.
On the flip side, Apple made 1.2 million sales in the July-September quarter, almost double of the second quarter results.
There are more rumours that the new instalment to iPad series will be 0.7mm thicker than iPad 2, which was 0.16mm slimmer than the original iPad.
