Rahul not Sunny Leone’s opposite star in Jism 2, clarifies Mahesh Bhatt
Tuesday, November 29th, 2011 4:40:31 by Rana Nasir GhafoorMahesh Bhatt, the veteran Bollywood filmmaker, has strongly rubbished the reports that he casted Sunny Leone in his upcoming movie Jism 2, as an opposite star of his son, Rahul Bhatt.
The movie is a sequel of his previous super-duper hit movie, released in 2003 – starring Bipasha Basu and John Abraham. It was the debut project for Bipasha and John – the two starts who earned huge fame following their terrific work in the movie.
The filmmaker has recently decided to make a sequel of the movie, and offered the lead role to Sunny – the American artist who came to limelight following his participation in the ongoing season of the famous Indian reality show, Bigg Boss.
Sunny has already worked in number of reality shows in USA, but appeared on Indian TV screen first time in the controversial reality show. Bhatt is in Hindi film industry for last 42 years, and has produced movies like "Arth", "Saaransh", "Zakhm", "Aashiqui"
and "Tamanna".
A few days ago, he came to Bigg Boss house and asked the lady to work in his forthcoming project. He uttered that he earlier approached Bipasha and Mallika Sherawat, but the things did not work out.
At the moment, there are several rumours flying in the air about Sunny’s unexpected inclusion in the movie. Initially, Bhatt was accused of picking Sunny just because of her attractive body and subsequently another report hit the headlines that he casted
the star on the wish of his son, who will be Sunny’s hero in the movie.
However, Bhatt has dismissed such news, saying that he never asked Sunny to work as a co-star of Rahul.
"The reports are all false. Some irresponsible journalist made up the news. But these reports don’t hold any truth. Yes, in 2003, we did think of her but couldn’t approach her as we didn’t have the proper contact back then," Mahesh Bhatt said in an interview.
When asked about choosing Bigg Boss as a platform to announce his new flick, the 63-year-old producer-director shared, "For us publicity is not a bad word, it is our heartbeat. Everybody uses the stage to sell their product; we too are using it to simply
promote our product.”
