The winter that we will never get to enjoy again

It is November 29, 2011 and even if you take bath in the morning before going to the office, school, and university or where ever, the only thing that you will need to put on is a reasonably warm sweater actually nothing that will make you go out of your
way. This time when the weather changed a slight bit we really did not switch our wardrobes from summer to winter, at least not the jackets, jumpers and sweat shirts that were deemed essential during winter some time back.
During school when the van use to pick us up at seven in the chilly morning, we use to be covered with a wide assortment of clothing that included a high neck, a jumper then a blazer on the top with a muffler or a scarf to go along. We would settle in the
not very cozy rather cold van and shiver as the steamy breaths would keep exhaling our mouths.
Gradually as the van use to fill up, the temperature use to get better but as soon as everyone was comfortable with it, the school started looming in the distance thus the beginning of getting chilled again.
Burning heaters or stove in the kitchen used to be the most cherished sights that would present a chance to escape from the freezing weather, I seriously doubt if we will need the heaters this time at all. Besides this, the hot soup with crisps at the top
or steaming coffee was the most tempting delicacies that one never wanted to miss specially during those evening classes. And how can one forget the near war scenario that use to be brought around when it came to sitting right next to the heater in the class
as the older campus is still not centrally heated.
The beauty of winter is that it can be enjoyed rather I would say celebrated as it makes so many exciting activities possible which can never be considered during summer but then it is us who have distorted the beauty and charm of such an invaluable and
irreplaceable weather.
