It was nice working with Naseeruddin Shah, says Vidya Balan

Bollywood actress, Vidya Balan has revealed that she did not feel uncomfortable in working with the veteran film artist, Naseeruddin Shah who is her opposite star in the much-anticipated movie, The Dirty Picture.

The flick is all about a controversial southern actress Vijayalaxmi, popularly known as Silk Smitha – somebody famous for her daring and bold erotica on the screen.

The picture includes a lot of intimate scenes picturised on Shah and Vidya, and the actress disclosed that the age difference between the two artists did not create any difficulties for the duo.

She also clarified that even though the movie has oomph factor and many romantic situations, it is not a porn film by any means. The thrilling promos and dialogues of the movie are already a hot topic and discussion among the Bollywood circles. And, the
heroine said that it was Shah’s support that helped her give her best shot.

"The age difference did not matter much with him (Naseeruddin Shah). When you face an actor like Naseeruddin, he can make you believe in anything. He is a brilliant actor. And I have worked with Naseer saheb earlier. He is one of the living legends. You
feel absolutely comfortable, I was not at all uncomfortable," Vidya told PTI in an interview.

"In such scenes, we made sure few people are there on sets. I knew it was required for the story to go ahead…it was part of the script," she added.

The two experienced actors have already shared big screen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Ishqiya’ – the super duper flick released a few years ago.

When asked about the experience of working with the great performer, the Kerala-born actress shared, "it was heart warming, especially while shooting ‘Ooh La La’ song. When we were dancing in the midst of oranges it was hilarious. We were laughing like mad,
dancing between pots, posing like old sculptures. We had to roll down a slope. It is not easy, more than (getting) hurt, I couldn’t control my laughter."

Alongside Shah and Vidya, Bollywood’s serial kisser Imran Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor are a crucial part of the movie, set to hit big screens this weekend.
