The curious case of Michael Jackson’s death solved:Conrad Murray found guilty and sentenced
Wednesday, November 30th, 2011 6:15:45 by Farhan KhalidKing of Pop “Michael Jackson”, according to me is the most eminent human being that has ever lived on this planet.
Anywhere you go, even in the hamlets of most underdeveloped countries, people might not know the name of American President- who is contemplated as the most powerful man in the world, but if you ask them about Michael, they would definitely nod with a “yes”.
That is the impact, the greatest ever entertainer made in this world.
And although he is gone now, but his beats and sui generis dance moves will live until the end of this world.
Jackson’s death triggered a global outpouring of grief. And more than that, it led to a controversy later that his doctor Conrad Murray had a role in his death which he kept on denying until now.
According to preliminary reports, his death was labeled as natural but his family found this hard to swallow and asked for further investigations. Conrad was investigated about the details of medications he had been giving Michael, and after a lengthy two
and a half years trial, Conrad is finally found guilty and now will be serving four years in jail.
The verdict was given last night by Judge Michael Pastor, who repeatedly chastised him for what he called a "horrific violation of trust".
"Dr. Murray created a set of circumstances and became involved in a cycle of horrible medicine," the judge said. "The practice of propofol for medicine madness, which violated his sworn obligation, for money, fame prestige and whatever else may have occurred."
Pastor added, one of the most heartbreaking aspects of Murray’s case was a slurred recording of Jackson recovered from the Conrad’s phone.
"That tape recording was Dr. Murray’s insurance policy," Pastor said. "It was designed to record his patient surreptitiously at that patient’s most vulnerable point."
Michael’s family was also present in the hearing and though they added, they were not seeking revenge, but asked for a strict punishment, that will serve as a warning for rest of the doctors throughout the world.
"The Bible reminds us that men cannot do justice, they can only seek justice," the family said in a statement "That is all we can ask as a family, and that is all we ask for here. We are not here to seek revenge. There is nothing you can do today that will
bring Michael back."
And they have a point.
Either its four years or forty, the sentence cannot bring back Michael Jackson. May he RIP.
