Be sensible when you argue
Thursday, December 1st, 2011 10:04:53 by Asad NazirIt has been generally observed that the people get offend during a political debate, as they try to attack on someone’s individuality rather than concentrating on the issues.
Many people believe that if they will hit someone personally, they can impose their point of view on others and try to show that they are the only ones in world who have the sense to deal with such debate.
If you say someone does not have any sense, he is fool; he is stupid, and he is not literate enough to talk to you, you are declaring yourself superior to everyone.
Let me quote my personal experience to explain it.
Last night, one of my friends expressed his point of view while discussing on the contemporary political issues in the country.
I did not agree with him, and refused to accept whatever he said, consequently, he termed me as a double faced person, which shocked me.
Was it a really criteria to attack someone personally, if someone does not agree with you and try to explain his point of view?
Obviously, it is not the way to deal with it, as it affects your personal relationships, and you do not get anything out of it.
Therefore, we need to avoid such kind of foolish acts to hurt our friends, and should concentrate on issues, which will help the political parties to improve their agenda.
