The education system of any country throughout the world holds paramount importance as the progress of the nation depends on the educated citizens. The better this system is, the more progress that particular nation or country will make.
However, in Pakistan, the education system is not well organised because it is creating discrimination among people having different educational backgrounds. The courses that are being taught in the public schools are completely different form the course
of an English medium private school. This difference at the school level crates a huge gap between the students belonging to two different backgrounds.
A student, who belongs to a small village situated hundred miles away from a big city, and studies at a government school remains years behind in knowledge, confidence and personality development as compared to a student who has the facility to study in
an expensive English medium school that has a completely different course.
These two difference educational courses are also extending the class difference in the society as those students who have an English medium background are always preferred against those students who have been studying in a government schools, when it comes
to find a good job. A public sector institution cannot guarantee the students better future.
However, an English medium student is successful in this society as all employers prefer these people and thus become a reason of discrimination. They get more importance in every practical field as compared to student who has the schooling of a public sector
institute.
Our society, which is following all foreign trends and foreign culture, is also a big reason which has awarded importance to English medium private schools. The education system is creating a big gap in the thinking of people and it is growing with a rapid
pace.
To eliminate this discrimination, government should review the educational courses. Latest courses should be introduced in the public sector schools. Same courses should be taught in both, public and private schools throughout the country. By doing this,
the growing discrimination in our country will be eliminated, which otherwise, will continue to grow bigger.
