Pakistani women should be brave enough to fight for their own rights

Pakistan is a patriarchal society, wherein we find the tendency of male dominancy. Males are considered to be the dominant part in the household economy in the country. Women are not allowed to work outside the homes. The birth of a boy is given utmost importance
in Pakistani society, whereas the birth of a girl is considered hatred among the majority of the people in the country. When it comes to the education, the majority of the girls are not taught in the schools. Rather, they are treated a symbol of waste, who
can only perform the household duties in the homes. More importantly, most of the women have to follow vain strictly.

When it comes to the freedom of speech, their voices are dumped straight away. Rather, they are prohibited to tell the truth about their philosophy of life before entire the world. They are kept and pressed at homes without tempting anything special in their
own lives. In addition, women are not allowed to take part in politics. Rather, the rights of votes are in the hands of the men in the country’s political scenario. It is the men, who get the majority of the seats in the senate and national assembly. On the
other hand, the women are hardly awarded any kind of special seats in the parliament or national assembly.  As a result, the majority of the men rule in Pakistan society.

The situation goes more worst for a Pakistani woman when she is treated with violence both at homes and outside. According to different studies from different non profit and humanitarian organizations, thousands of women have been treated with a range of
violence acts in Pakistan throughout the history from Kara Kari to domestic violence, from acid burning to sexual abuse, from verbal abuse to psychological torture, from emotional violence to spiritual violence, form Wata Sata to Vani, from stalking to rape
and from harassment to list goes on. Is there any solution for women to get rid of these violence acts in Pakistan? How is it possible for Pakistani females to eliminate male dominancy? Do they really need to stand alongside the men? How should women fight
for their own rights?  Please read below.

All the Pakistani women have to do is to get themselves educated as much as they can for the reason that education is such a strong ladder for women through which they can be easily able to get the empowerment. More importantly, education makes a woman cultured,
broad and rational not only about herself but for the new generation as well. In addition, it gives the women a sort of self confidence how to perceive the things all the way through their own life. Moreover, it takes them towards the path of modern enlightenment.
Another important thing about the education is that it purges the symbols of extremism and fanaticism from the women and as a result rational knowledge will help the women to become the national builders alongside the men.

Despite the value of the education, women should have equal rights of votes during the political campaigns across the country. If they are well educated and enlightened, they will have great chance of proving their critiques wrong in the parliaments and
national assembly in front of the men. Dr. Sheri Mazari, Sheri Rehman, Farzana Bari and Benazir Bhuto are the greatest examples of the most leading ladies in the history of Pakistan.

Concluding remarks

In short, we can reveal that getting the equal rights for social, economic and even political purposes should be the ultimate binding force for the women in Pakistan. The reality of the matter is that time has been changed drastically. It demands the women
to come out of their homes and work collectively alongside the women for the progress of the country. In order to get all this, Pakistan women will really need to have several distinctive qualities, including education, modern enlightenment, rights of votes,
freedom of speech, liberation, boldness and speak to the truth.
