Karbala and Today

Centuries ago, when Hazrat Imam Hussain demonstrated the biggest display of faith, the main concept behind the martyrdom was that Allah was the Mighty Power and none else. The fight for justice was so crucial that most members
of the family of our beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H) gave away their lives for the love of Allah and to save Islam.
The place where Imam Hussain’s family was martyred is knows as Karbala. It is a sign of strength and justice over cruelty and discarding the fact that Allah is the only power. In our generation we are blind if we do not see a similar
case where Muslims are fighting for their right against all odds.
Looking around the world we see only Muslims that are being called terrorists. Fighting over territory and human rights is considered a terrorism regarding us Muslims. Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Libya, Egypt and Palestine, Bosnia
and many other unnamed nations are still deprived of their basic rights of having a separate nation.
In France, there has been a law passed against the wearing of ‘Burqa’ by Muslim women. Most countries have banned on building Mosques as well. At the time of Hazrat Imam Hussain, there was a similar scenario; however, the difference
was that they were the family of our Prophet (P.B.U.H).
Considering our own country, there have been cases of suppressing every Muslim resistance and surprisingly our own people are doing that. That replicated what Yazid did to Hazrat Imam Hussain. We see deaths on every corner of the
world. Blood is being spilt like water and water is nowhere to be found.
Our own leaders are more of puppets who are doing whatever the American government tell them to do. That includes killing our own people in tribal areas, Swat, Waziristan and many other places. We never question the acquisition
of nuclear assets by other countries; however, every Muslim state that holds a Nuclear weapon is a threat to the great powers of today?
We still have time to figure out whether to stand by the concept of Hazrat Imam Hussain or to join Yazid’s fake theory and lead our selves nowhere but in hell. We are surely puzzled about who is right and who is wrong; however,
we still have the sayings of Hazrat Imam Hussain to lead us through this.
Hazrat Imam Hussain once said “Those who seek to win God’s favour and satisfaction, no matter if it evokes people’s wrath, God will make them dispense with people. But those who win contentment of people at the cost of enraging
God, the Almighty will make them dependent upon people.”
