Jon Voight unexpected visit at Jolie’s film premier

Despite considerable differences, Jon Voight unexpectedly paid a visit at her daughter’s directorial debut movie premier in LA. In the Land of Blood and Honey is where the gorgeous actress is making her mark as a director, however, little did she know about
the visit of her father, who crashed the event – hugging Jolie on the red carpet.

While many thought it as a moment where both would end their difficult relationship however, according to Hollywood Reporter it was not what the naked eye would have in mind.

“Actually what those reporters or casual carpet observers don’t know is that Voight actually crashed the premiere and sneaked onto the carpet in order to speak to and be photographed with his famous daughter. While Angelina kept a polite smile on her face,
the awkwardness was palpable to those in the know. And the producers were absolutely furious about his behavior,” reported THR.

“While the producers could not stop the carpet photogs from snapping shots of Jon and Angelina in a brief and noticeably awkward embrace, the official party photographer was given strict instructions not to take any photos of Voight – with or without Angelina.
And the party’s security forces were told to keep him far away from Brad and Angie all night,” added THR.

Both have endured a tricky association since Voight divorced Jolie’s mother, Macrcheline Bartrand. In 2001, they were seen together in the highly acclaimed Tom Raider, however, relationship again stalled between the two and both were on bad terms for up
to seven years.

In 2009 they reconciled but with Voight crashing her daughter’s premier, it remains to be seen how much the two have patched up.

Jolie’s directorial debut takes the story of the Bosnian war where a Serbian soldier falls in love with a Bosnian woman.
