Destined to love and lose

Falling in love may not be a crime, but falling in love with someone who is already committed to someone else is an offence indeed. While there is no law in place to punish anyone guilty of this felony, the offender finds himself paying a heavy price for
allowing his heart to trip in the wrong direction.

Falling in love with that person may not be intentional, but the entire society begins to regard the guilty person as a transgressor due to trespassing in an area that is out-of-bounds for him. People start looking at him with disgust and become insecure
in his presence. He also ends up becoming an object of mockery and disdain, cornered and driven to the verge of insanity.

That is only the least bit of repercussion that the offender has to face. The worst punishment that he receives for falling in love with a person committed to a third person leads to a constant heart-ache, stripping the person of all peace of mind. It becomes
difficult to sleep, painful to breathe, pointless to live and tempting to die. Such is the intensity of hurt deep inside as the offender battles with his hopelessness.

Watching that person every day with the knowledge that regardless of how much you want to take that person in your arms, you cannot as she is a part of someone else’s destiny is the worst tribulation that a person has to go through every day. Why does he
have to live in close proximity to a person whose sight, voice, laughter and scent drives you crazy with emotions?

Life is indeed a difficult journey to get through, but it becomes even tougher for people who are in love with those people who are destined to remain deprived of the affection of their loved one. It is indeed a sad fate and one can only feel sympathy for
the sorry and the unfortunate soul who people term as an offender.
