President Asif Ali Zardari returned to his home in Dubai after he was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday. He was receiving heart treatment for almost nine days but now he has return been shifted to his place in Dubai. However, the reasons of his sudden
discharge remain unknown.
His medical staff and spokesman, both are keeping the media in dark and none of them has unveiled anything about either why he was admitted in the hospital or when he will return to Pakistan. Nevertheless, Mr Babar told that “the president has been shifted
to his home in Dubai.”
A bulletin passed by President Zardari’s doctor, Khaldoun Taha said, “Mr Asif Ali Zardari has been admitted to the American Hospital Dubai on Tuesday, Dec 6, 2011, with a chief complaint of left arm numbness and twitching with a transient episode of loss
of consciousness that lasted for a few seconds, which was witnessed (sic).”
“Upon arrival to the hospital’s emergency room, he was fully awake and conscious with stable vital signs. Given his history of heart disease, cardiac and neurologist investigations were carried out which included MRI of the brain, lumbar puncture, 2-D echocardiogram,
carotid Doppler and complete blood test.”
“All investigations were within normal range and he was kept for observation for a few more days and is planned to be discharged on Dec 15, 2011, to rest at home, as advised, and to continue on his regular heart medications.”
Previously, Presidency’s spokesman proclaimed that the President will be discharged from hospital on Thursday but he was shifted home on Wednesday. He also refused to address anything on this issue, saying that “I cannot say anything more than what has been
described in the medical bulletin.”
After reviewing the bulletin board, a renowned heart specialist and neurosurgeon said that the president has experienced a minor heart attack. He added that the bulleting pointed that President Zardari had passed through all necessary tests and not in danger.
The president had undergone angioplasty in 2005 whereas he has also been suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.
