The grand scheme of Amazon, take it with a grain of salt – Part 1

Amazon.com is not only regarded as the first online business to cater the book business but they are also attributed as the best strategists in all businesses. Over the years, the company has shown that, no matter what the scenario is, they come up with
a new strategy that changes the overall modus operandi.

Amazon is not like other tech giants; Apple, Facebook, Google, Intel, Microsoft, the lot. It is a kind of its own and it has proved it not only its products but also the strategy to take down its opponents, all of them.

Companies like Microsoft and Google became successful by creating something in the spur of the moment but their contribution on marketing and promotional strategies is limited to either certain operations or products.

Apple on the other hand, has given the technology industry a run for their money over the years with various out-of-this-world products and software but that is limited to competing and giving a hard time. Their flagship handheld, iPhone, and trendsetter
tablet, iPad, were undoubtedly mind boggling. But that spurred competition that they have to take with both hands.

Microsoft has always been a good reverse-engineering company, look at Windows Phone OS and Windows OS. However, they are yet to be seen as a great strategist in the world of technology.

Google towed the same line as Windows and produced a mobile operating system, Android, in competition with iOS however; their operating system attracted a lot of opprobrium due to striking similarities with Apple’s mobile OS.

Amazon, on the other side of the fence, never took any of its competitors like this. They have been innovators in every sense of the game. They play a chess game and their moves are always several moves ahead of the opponents.
