However, this data does not only break the spell of delusion on Facebook, which has been working under the false impression that the ads on their website are some way more important in luring people. The Google engine still remains the king of all searches.

In addition, it has also dawned on Google, which launched Google +—a social network, that these kind of websites are not the best solutions for luring consumers to other businesses.

The ads have been the bread and butter for Facebook, who have churned out almost $2 Billion out of it, and they have recently forecasted that this amount is likely to double in the coming year.

However, this report might break all the eggs in both Facebook and Google’s baskets, who intend to redirect users’ attention to such websites for every everyday activity.

Facebook recently announced that they are planning to go public. However, this decision is still a work-in-process. Moreover, the decision to announce Initial Public Offering has been hindered by a lot of calamities of late.

First, Federal Trade Commission tapped on their head for infringement of public privacy acts. For the last four years, Facebook’s security mechanism had a lot of loop holes that led to members’ privacy in tatters.

Recently, Mark Zukerberg’s company was found hosting malicious software that conned people for money.

After all these fallbacks, it is likely that Facebook’s IPO would fall somewhere in the mid of second 2012 quarter.
