Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan proclaimed once again that PTI is a democratic party and will never take side of the dictatorship.
He told in a press conference in Islamabad on Friday that if another Marshal Law is imposed, then PTI will take side with the judiciary.
“The PTI is a democratic party … will never support dictatorship in the country and will side with the judiciary,” PTI chairman Imran Khan said. He said so while openly criticising the military take overs in the past.
While addressing the media, he was accompanied by the newly elected PTI Vice Chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Masood Sharif Khattak.
After being accused of backing of the establishment, Khan articulated that all those people who are supporting the present conditions are the ones who do not want conditions to improve. He stressed that PTI is the only democratic party that could bring change
in this country and help the people to live a better life.
“PTI’s December 25 rally will prove to be an historic day in burying the politics of status quo,” Imran said.
He asserted that PTI will get rid of unemployment and will improve the economic conditions of Pakistan. He also said that another focus of PTI will be to omit the politics of hate from this country.
While addressing to a question regarding memogate, he said, “The government has lost its credibility and there is no parallel in the world for a head of state seeking the support of another country to save himself from his own army.”
In response to a question related to the demand for resignation of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief, Ahmed Shuja Pasha over the allegations imposed by Mansoor Ijaz, Khan said that Supreme Court was dealing with the case and it is hoped that the
culprits responsible for this unacceptable act will be bring to justice.
He uttered that the success of government can be measured from the fact that it has failed to arrest the murderers of former PPP chairman, Benazir Bhutto.
