Top earning Hollywood actors of 2011

The actors decorate the screen so flamboyantly that a mediocre film becomes one of the best; think of Rain Man and One
Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
However, this year it was neither Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Spacey, Robert De Niro who took the top notch salaries, nor was it Brad Pitt, his friend George Clooney or Jack Nicholson. The list of 5 top grossing actors of 2011 was mostly populated by the young
breed.
Following are the actors who earned the top dollar salaries this year.
1. Daniel Radcliffe
The 22-year-old actor started acting in the Harry Potter franchise when he was 10 and grossed so much money that he had every sports car available in England when he was not even eligible for a driving license. His last instalment, Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows: Part 2 earned him $1.3 Billion
2. Shia LaBeouf
At the age of 25, LaBeouf is already a billionaire. His big break came in the Transformers franchise. The Steven Spielberg-produced and Michael Bay-directed action/adventure has rocked the movie business since the first instalment came in 2007. The latest
episode, Dark of the Moon alone earned him $1.1 Billion.
3. Johnny Depp
One of the most promising actors and consistent money makers; the sexiest Hollywood actor three times in a row; and a sure hit on the silver screen made it to 3rd position in the list. Captain Jack Sparrow touched the Billion dollar marker with
the Pirates of Caribbean: On Strange Tides coupled and The Rum Diary, which was not a big hit at the box office.
4. Robert Pattinson
The graceful teenage vampire in the Twilight Saga has been a hit among ‘ladies’. Surprisingly, his fame overshadows his companion, Kristen Stewart in every aspect. He also supersedes her in grossing best money. The latest Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn ‘got’
him $750 Million with some help from romantic/drama, Water for Elephants.
5. Bradley Cooper
The Hangover’s lead actor, in the presence of more funny people like Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha, has earned more fame than he could ever imagine. He started his career in 1999 but his big break came 10 years later, when he was signed in
Hangover franchise by renowned director Todd Phillips. Hangover 2, and Limitless made $743 Million for him.
