Apple is in the rumours and this time it’s not the iPad or iPhone but the Macbook Pro line. The company launched the fall version of the notebook in October, which was a move to cater to the low-price market.
The price cuts were amazing and the specifications were higher than what that amount of money could buy in the market. However, as it goes with Apple’s history, nothing is best, just better. Therefore, the company has made an attempt to introduce its signature
Retina Display to the notebook line.
Rumour has it that Macbook Pro will have a whopping 2880×1800 pixel-resolution that will reach the pinnacle of 332 ppi easily.
The Macbook Air is yet to receive this new feature to its family. The Pro line will incorporate the mesmerizing new screen in the spring edition.
The main question that arises from this rumour is that only iPhone and iPod Touch have been lucky enough to have a Retina Display into their chassis. What about iPad or Macbook Air or the iMac?
For the desktop version of Apple’s portable devices, the iMac already has a very resolute display that has the thickest pixel density in the market. That line does not need a Retina Display. The iMac is not only famous in techies for its portability and
great specs but its state-of-the-art sound card and graphic card are the sweet child of every musician and graphics designer. Therefore, iMac does not need a Retina Display, for now at least.
iPad, on the other hand, is mostly taken as the big brother of iPod Touch and if the younger sibling can have this display, without compromising the thinness, why not the tablet. The answer is hidden in the question. The bigger the display is, the more it
will consume the battery therefore, the battery has to be big or thick to justify the benchmark timing of 11 hours set by the iPad 2.
