Apple to introduce Retina Display to Macbook Pro series… Al last! – Part 2
Monday, December 19th, 2011 3:05:58 by Usman KhalidHowever, if a bigger battery is to be nestled inside the new iPad’s sealed casing then it will compromise its breadth. And the thickness and weight has been iPad 2’s biggest selling point; it is dramatically thin and is feather weight.
Moreover, the Retina Display screen will certainly take up more space in iPad and that might also change the dimensions to some lengths.
The company has taken the battery issue in its stride and is trying to make it thin and efficient at the same time. However, reliable sources do not vouch for such rumours at the moment.
The Macbook Air might also be facing the same challenges. The ultra-slim laptop is one of the thinnest in the market and compromising on this particular aspect might lead to market share cannibalization.
The Macbook Pro is taken in a different perspective in the market. The thickness is not an issue with this powerful machine. However, quality is and a retina display won’t hurt the performance, it will augment instead.
Moreover, Apple has launched the new iOS 5.1 to developers to incorporate it into their applications. This new patch will enable the user to delete pictures from Photo Stream on one device attached to iCloud and it will be deleted from all its peers automatically.
In other news, Google is ready to launch its virtual assistant most probably called ‘Majel’. This is Google’s reactive approach to Apple’s Siri in iOS 5, that has attracted the market attention at great lengths.
However, the new application from Google will attract a lot of opprobrium because of the striking resemblance to Siri. It might also spur a number of law suits from Apple, who just loves to do it and has made it a hobby to file for patents infringements
of late. The next big ‘innovation’ might come from Microsoft to introduce a virtual assistant called ‘clippie’ from MS Office, remember!
