A tragic death of old friend: Common Sense
Tuesday, December 20th, 2011 12:56:10 by Faisal FarooqA tragic death of old friend: Common Sense
In the recent past, we lost our dearest friend, Common Sense, which lived an uncountable life in the heart of masses.
It will be no more with us on the brink of new millennium. Everyone is doubtful how old he was, since the record of his birth lost long ago, at the hands of world of electronics.
It unselfishly devoted its last breath to serve in homes, hospitals factories, school, assisting people in getting jobs without imprudence and fanfare. However, airheaded lawsuits, petty leaders and silly laws failed to reign over my dearest friend
Common Sense.
It was attributed with refining such valuable education as to know that life isn’t always comely, why the early bird gets the maggot and when to come in out of the rain.
It educates us about simple things but financially sound strategies to pass the life smoothly. Like, one should not spend more than his/her earning and adults are in charge not the children.
Although it was severely attacked by depression, creation of technology and new trends, it survived with body piercing.
However, it gradually lost his health after being infected with the virus of “If-it-only-helps-one-person-it’s-worth-it”.
It promptly started losing its health when well-organized but autocratic decrees were set in motion. A teenage boy was debarred from school using mouthwash after the meal; a teacher was fired for issuing a warning to disobedient student; and a six-year old
boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing his mate.
The main cause behind the parental consent was that they themselves failed to perform duties in educating their children about etiquettes. Its condition further deteriorated when schools were needed to get permission before administering sun lotion or tablet
to the students.
Ultimately, Common Sense lost the will to live when worship places become business centers and criminals received respect more than the dupes.
It finally gave up all hopes when a woman failed to understand that a streaming cup of tea was hot and searing. She awarded a huge reward that led the Common Sense towards the final destination.
It was headed towards death by its parents, Trust and Truth; its wife, Discretion, his son, Reason; and its daughter, Responsibility.
Common Sense is survived by four step brothers including “I want it now; Someone else is to blame; I am a victim; and I know my right”.
Only a handful people attended the final ceremony of Common Sense as very few realized that it was no more among us.
