Tuesday, December 20th, 2011 12:52:58 by Yasir HashmiImran Khan to bring the real democracy in Pakistan – Part Two
Continued from the previous part …
However, Imran believes that the two major parties, PPP and PML (N) are status quo forces and they would resist to any positive change in the country.
“The forces opposed to the rule of people are supporting the status quo. What’s the point of this parliament when it can’t provide relief to the people?” he added.
While talking about the performance of the current government and the on-going memo-scandal, Imran slammed the civil government and said that it is the worst government of the history of Pakistan and the state of affairs are in such irony in the country
that the President of Pakistan is afraid of his own army, even though he is the supreme commander of the military forces as per the constitution.
The Chairman PTI expressed, “The government has lost its credibility and there is no parallel in the world for a head of state seeking the support of another country to save himself from his own army.”
Khan has claimed on a number of platforms that his party intends to change the fortunes of Pakistan and will also change the culture of dynastic politics in the country. His motto is justice and vows to give equal rights to all the citizens in the society
irrespective of class, creed, gender, religion etc.
PTI is going from strength to strength as a huge number of big politicians are joining Imran Khan’s bandwagon. Since the massive procession in Lahore on October 30th, the electables have realized that PTI has emerged as a viable political force
and now no political analyst in the country can write-off Imran Khan and his party.
Imran was criticized in the past that he does not have any winning candidates but now the situation has rapidly changed and people are looking at him to lead this nation out of the current turmoil and help bring true democracy in the country.
Considering the sort of popularity Imran is gaining with the passage of time, one can assume that he may get his chance sooner rather than later. However, it remains to be seen that how much he is able to deliver and can he be successful in politics after
a dream career in cricket.
