A fate of the nation dwells at the hands of a solitary person; it was said by Allama Iqbal in his poem, An Advice of Old Bloch that is translation of “Budhay Baloch ki Naseehat. The province has been burning for long ago and forewarnings against discounting
it are becoming to a greater extent of vociferous.
Unfortunately, individuals who can assist in finding a way out to the problems of hemorrhage Balochistan are an uncommon form. Most, from among the few who could help, such as Sardar Ataullah Mengal, the former chief minister and founding head of the Balochistan
National Party (BNP), deems things may have gone ahead of salvation.
The Baloch nationalist leader held a meeting with Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, back in 2010, saying that he had lost the dominance over the youth. Similar type of sentiments, he expressed in the company of PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif, on the other
day.
However, his tone has been intensified and his charges are more than scathing condemnations of an ostensible crusade for bringing peace back that has pushed forward the province towards total separation from the country.
Mengal expressed severe reservations over the army’s role in Balochistan saying that atrocities were being dedicated and the fresh generation of the province had abandoned on the idea of getting justice in Pakistan. In his view, the youth is promptly adopting
insurgency that is not a positive sign at all.
He, however, was of the opinion that a sincere effort must be made to get the fresh blood to discuss their complaints and issues with federation. The words of Sardar Mengal are not different from those many other neutral experts.
They are also making an unhinging comparison with the situation in East Pakistan (Now Bangladesh), we faced during the 70s. Al talk of talks is that the situation in the province at the point of no return.
We have no other option but to take the Baloch nationalist’s words as a positive sign, as he expressed a ray of hope to resolve the solution. In the deep down, let us think that he still desires that the sensible men will make an earnest effort to save the
province.
Our politicians should come forward to take the responsibility and to show moral courage to end the cycle of violence. In my views, it is only way out we have left now.
