Is loyalty needs loud talks?

Former federal minister for Law and Justices, Dr. Babar Awan, conceivably is the loudest person among the present leadership of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), who always takes the responsibility of a voluntary spokesperson for his party.

The only impression comes in mind, when we see him, is that he is doing such practices in recognition of his loyalty to the PPP which remains doubtful in the eyes of the party’s old loyalists.

It seems that Babar Awan has built up his position in the PPP by furnishing valuable services to the party as well as the presidency. However, his services have time and again invited uncalled-for discomfiture.

He has been charging heavy fees from the national treasury, as he himself appointed leader of the party’s legal group. As the lawyer of the federation, Babar Awan handled some of the vital cases in quite a desired way.

The mess, the Pakistan People’s Party is facing today, is mostly created by its own in which Babar Awan has a major contribution. His recent speeches in which he flayed severe criticism on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and judiciary are inviting new confrontations
between the institutions.

As a solo performer on the stage, he articulated many remarks which once again can earn humiliation for himself and his party. Awan’s outbursts against PML-N is quite comprehensible, as the party took the memogate issue to the apex court, however, his remarks
about judiciary are indecipherable.

His insist for establishing commissions to investigation the previous issues including fall of Dhaka, Siachen issue, Kargil fiasco, are only objected at underlining the severity of the matter at hand, the secret memogate scandal. Conversely, it cannot be
ignored by taking it as a meager expression.

Although the people of Pakistan wanted to know the realities about the above mentioned incidents and would still welcome establishing of commissions to probe the Kargil and Siachen issues, the memogate too has an importance.

However, I am wonder why Babar Awan has been waiting till this day to make the demand in this regard. The PPP was in power for the last four years but he didn’t bother to move forward for any commission.

It looks that the PPP is not interested in investigating these incidents, I advise Dr. Babar Awan to gather some moral bravery and take the matter to the apex court in the larger interests of the masses.
