Let us bring about a change in Pakistan

Most of us claim to be patriotic, but hardly become involved in any activity that justify this claim. We wake up in the morning, head to work to earn our livelihood, return home in the evening, watch a drama or television talk show with a bunch of politicians
throwing the same old rhetoric in our direction, lie down on our beds and call it a day.

Nowhere in this routine do we make a single contribution towards the improvement of Pakistani society or the development of the country. We are simply living a life of an individual, focus primarily on making life easier for us instead of concentrating on
the issues and challenges faced by Pakistan.

There is so much that this country requires a lot from us. The demands by the country are not for any selfish gains. Instead, everything that Pakistan asks us to do for it directly or indirectly affects the standard of our living and the atmosphere that
we live in.

We need to start making an effort to improve the area that we live by making use of our own resources instead of sitting and waiting for the politicians to do it for us. Despite facing so many disappointments at the hands of our politicians over the years,
we still rely on them for everything instead of taking the matters into our own hands. There is nothing a society cannot achieve if they work as a unit. If there is a road in your area that needs to be repaired, if there is a sewerage problem, if there is
a water problem, if there is a problem with ensuring a roof over the head of people in your area, if there is a problem with pollution in your area, if crime and corruption is running rampant in your area, if the police is nothing performing its duty properly,
 if the shop-keepers are hoarding commodities in your area, then it is you who should take an initiative to face and solve these problems instead of going around knocking on the doors of the politicians, who are most like the root of all these problems.

There is nothing that we cannot set right if we put our minds and effort into it. Some tough decision will need to be taken, some luxuries will need to be cut down, some obstacles will need to be taken care of, but in the end everything will work out just
fine. God has given us all the resources we need to tackle all the problems faced by us. It is time to make a contribution towards the progression and development of the country by playing our roles.
