The new slate was quite a different device from other tablets in the market for example, HP’s Windows-based tablet with a revolving screen tablet, and received opprobrium-based reception. However,
now that this innovative yet simple design has captured the market, it is in the thick of popularity.
The Cupertino-based company launched the successor to iPad with a traditional numeric suffix attached the name this year and it was even better. The tablet is on hot streak has captured almost 75 percent of the global market.
However, even if the user is a novice or an expert at using this slate or is gaming enthusiast, there are always new tips and tricks that surface the market and amuse the masses.
Following are some of the new tips that a user on any level can enjoy while playing with this tablet.
1. Keyboard Shortcuts
Working on a virtual keyboard can become quite a headache and can be frustrating sometimes. There is a lot of experience required to type fast and long text on an LCD keyboard. Needless to say, the bearing of the keys is also an issue sometimes as the user
usually loses track of the keys on a flat surface as compared to hard keys.
No can help in this issue except experience but the short cuts can be learnt. Following short cuts to different keys can make the life easy and typing faster.
- iPad keyboard does not sport a caps lock key and the shift button has to be pressed every time an upper case word is required or worse, a sentence in that case. However, by selecting the shift key as caps in the settings the user can double tap on the shift
key to use it as caps lock button. - Inserting a period sign all the time in a long text or even in a short email is quite frustrating on virtual keyboards due to the absence of it in the text section. The ‘.123’ button has to be pressed every time, which makes the user to bang the slate in
the wall. However, double tapping the space bar can do the trick for you. - Sometimes the @ sign is required in typing an email address or in special occasions like tariffs. This can be easily done by pressing and holding the .123 key and then dragging the finger to the @ sign. When finger is lifted up, the keyboard comes back
to the text format. - Sometimes a currency sign is required, other than a dollar sign. The keyboard does not show a pound or a euro sign in any form but if pressed and held $ button, the keyboard offers an option of these aforesaid signs.
- Different websites end at different TLDs like .org or .edu. However, the iPad keyboard only offers the .com. But if pressed and held it shows all the famous options like .edu, .net, org etc.
