Stan Lee, creator of some of the most iconic superhero comics like Spiderman, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Hulk and Thor launched a character to the Indian market, said Friday the local agency IANS.
The company of the legendary cartoonist, Pow! Entertainment will develop the new hero, "the invincible Chakra", and a team of artists from the company of Indian origin Liquid Comics, which has already launched several characters in the Asian giant’s market.
In his first job with Indian artists and writers, the legendary driver of Marvel will play a masked man is actually Raju Rai, a technology genius teenager who lives in Bombay.
Thanks to his intelligence, Chakra develops a special suit that turns mystical energy centers of the body called "chakras" in the Indian tradition and thanks to which it gets its superpowers.
"I am excited to collaborate with my friends at Liquid Comics and launch a new superhero saga," said Stan Lee in a statement issued by Liquid.
"What better way to conceive a new generation of superheroes in India in collaboration with the godfather of the genre?" Said co-founder of Liquid, Gotham Chopra.
Chakra will be released for free in April 2012 as a download via web and mobile phones.
