Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI), Imran Khan has vowed to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state if he comes to power and further claimed that he will complete the unfulfilled dreams of Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
The cricketer turned politician was speaking to a massive procession in Karachi on 25th of December, 2011, which also happens to be the birth anniversary of Jinnah, the founding father of Pakistan.
Imran is fast becoming the most popular political leader of the country and has been showing immense backing of the masses of Pakistan since last couple of months.
A number of political analysts in the country feel that the procession of PTI was one of the biggest in the history of Karachi, which has seen turmoil in the recent years in shape of target-killing and terrorism.
Pakistan came into being in 1947 with a lot of dreams but all of them have remained unfilled because of incompetent and corrupt leadership.
Imran expressed that if he comes to power, he will change the fortunes of this country and will follow the basic principles of Islam, which gives equal rights to Muslims as well as people belonging from any other religion.
Chairman PTI said, "I promise on Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary that I will do what the Quaid-e-Azam wanted to do. Quaid-e-Azam never wanted you to bow before anyone, I will ensure that you don’t have to bow before anyone."
He further vowed to bring equality in the country and said that he will change the VIP culture and even he himself will be open to trial.
Imran feels that Pakistan is a God-gifted country and has so many blessings. He expresses that the problems of the country may be complex but the solution is very simple and it should not be a huge challenge for honest leadership. Imran feels that it is
only PTI which can provide competent and sincere leadership.
"During Tehreek-e-Insaf rule a civil system will be introduced which will ensure that even Imran Khan’s car is stopped for over-speeding. You don’t need a rocket science in Pakistan, just bring a team of honest leaders that carries out self-accountability,"
Imran added.
