The unrequited love

Sometimes it is best to keep your feelings locked inside you and not let anyone see them, especially the ones who are taking up the maximum space in your heart. While it is tempting to reveal your feelings and see if they get reciprocated, one often gets
slapped hard by the consequences.
Regardless of how badly we want thing to be idealistic, we cannot ignore the unfortunate and bitter reality. People do not care about how or what we feel. Everyone is selfishly indulged in the pursuit of their own dreams and acquisition of their own desires
that they become completely blind to the needs and requirements of other people.
The most common case where this bitter reality becomes really prominent is when a person falls in love with someone and decides to open up his heart, hoping to receive a positive response and move towards a blissful life. While the love is pure and the motives
are innocent, the response that one often receives is not any less painful than a steel knife going through one’s chest. Life begins to drain out of the person even though there is no apparent bleeding to indicate it.
To tell someone how you much you love them is like handing a fully loaded gun to that person. It is complete up to that person if they want to throw away the gun or pull the trigger to put a hole in your chest. Unfortunately, in most of the cases, the trigged
gets pulled and the person becomes nothing less than a zombie.
This zombie begs for death, while holding an undying and unwavering desire to live. However, living for him means living with the person who was a cold-blooded killer, the same person who shot him and transformed him into a living dead.
There are a lot of things that we do not understand and a lot of things that confuse us to an extent that they almost start driving us to madness. Unrequited love is perhaps tops the list and while the pseudo-intellectuals offer a variety of explanations
and justifications, there is not a thing that soothes the victim.
