Mission Impossible 4 is a 2011 action flick and the fourth instalment of the Mission Impossible series. It is directed by Brad Bird and produced by J.J, Abrams and Bryan Burk.
The film stars Tom Cruise who reprises his role as an IMF Agent Ethan Hunt. The story follows when a terrorist bombing blows Kremlin, official residing place of the president of Russia, while Hunt is on an undercover mission in Moscow. The Russian government
announces the attack as an undeclared act of war, promoting the Unites States to start ghost protocol, a black operation.
Hunt along with his rogue four-man team operates outside from their agency’s command structure due to some circumstances. However, they are forced to operate without any official help after IMF is ambushed few days later. The high flying team then succeeds
in locating an intelligence source connected to the Moscow bombing and the attack on IMF.
Ghost Protocol received critical acclaim with review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes report that 93 percent of critics gave positive reviews, based on 172 reviews, with an average rating of 7.6 out of 10. The site’s general consensus states, “Stylish, fast-paced,
and loaded with gripping set pieces, the fourth Mission: Impossible is big-budget popcorn entertainment that really works.”
Tom Long of the Detroit News gave a B+ score and said, “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is top-notch popcorn entertainment, chock-full of dazzling stunts and heroic moments, played out at a near-hysterical pitch.”
Colin Covert of the Minneapolis Star Tribune gave a score of 3.5 out of 4 and declared, “[Bird’s] fresh touch gives breathless energy, tremendous excitement and, above all, humor to what could have been a wearying genre exercise.”
However Time Magazine’s top critic, Richard Corliss, had a different view as he stated, “I’m thinking it, so I might as well say it: Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is no Fast Five.”
The five year wait was worth as this new instalment of the series, Ghost Protocol, is a must watch movie for all genre. You will definitely enjoy this movie with your friends and families.
