8. Nicki Minaj

The Hip Hop singer has made the list against all odds. Her frequent use of the social networks and played the fireworks. She has the least number of fans on both Twitter and Facebook on the list but her number of tweets have helped her inside the elite of
superstars.

Her fan following on Twitter has a count of 7.78 million, whereas 14.6 million people follow her on Facebook. Her number of tweets so far is a whopping 9,290.

Minaj stays in touch with her fans by being one of the most active celebrities on Twitter. She has sent 9,290 tweets, almost as many as Kim Kardashian.

9. Eminem

One of the most followed rappers in the world does not virtual networks for popularity. However, once someone so-much-liked like him registers his or her presence on a network, the fan base is hoarded by host of followers.

Eminem has 7.8 million followers on Twitter and an astonishing 50 million on Facebook. However, he is not so much into the social networking, maybe because he is a rapper and the only one on the top 10 list, other than Barack Obama, who is the President
of the US—more or less the same thing.

His total number of tweets recorded so far are a mere 175.

The rapper clearly isn’t a big fan of Twitter, he’s only tweeted 175 times. But he’s got more Facebook fans than anyone else on our list.

10. Barack Obama

Obama is the first US president to make this kind of list. How he gets free time from pondering on decreasing the unemployment rate in the US is a mystery. However, he is on Twitter and Facebook and has fan following of 11.6 million and 24 million, respectively.

He tweets quite regularly, 2,366, more than Rihanna and Eminem.

The President uses social media to update his fans on White House goings on and to push his policies. A recent tweet said: "Tell Congress that now is no time to raise taxes on middle-class families."
