Feeling incomplete

After spending over two decades in this world, we begin to feel that there is hardly anything left in the world that would be able to give us a jolt. We begin to feel that we have experienced everything there is to experience, seen everything there is to
be seen, done everything there is to be done and understood everything that there is to be understood.

Just when it seems that life has run out of surprises, we find ourselves feeling something that is completely new to us. The feeling does not qualify as happiness, nor could it be classified as absolute sadness. It does not exactly hurt us and yet it does
not make us feel at ease either. Everything begins to slowly become more confusing, making us feel distant from everything and everyone even though we are physically present right next to them.

What is this feeling? This feeling is the sudden realisation that something has just been pulled out of us. The body apparently seems to be fine, yet there is something that it seems to be missing. It is not long before we come down to the source of this
strange feeling.

The source of this new and strange feeling is a person who is no longer around us. A person who was serving as a source of our happiness, a source of our pain, a reason for us to laugh, a reason for us to cry. That person was the reason we dared to dream.
That person was the reason we wanted to grow. That person was the reason life seemed bright. That person was the reason we never felt alone, even at night.

There are ways to get back to that person. There are ways to bring that person back into your life. However, those measures are pretty demanding and requirement the full commitment of not only you, but several other parties, especially that person. Nothing
can be done without learning what that person wants. If that person desires the same thing, then the path is clear. There is one thing that can be done. There is one thing that needs to be done. That thing is marriage.
