Flexing its political muscles, the JUI-F has announced to hold a million march in Karachi on January 27, 2012. The key purpose of the march is said to be a move to counter Imran Khan’s rally, held in the metropolis city, on
December 25.
"The JUI-F will show Imran Khan how public rallies are held and who is the most popular leader, party’s Sectetary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri said while talking to media on Wednesday.
He said that his party was not afraid of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) because JUI-F was an ideological party. "Khan is only counting numbers," he added.
He said that the government had completely failed to deliver in last four years. "Failure of the rulers provided opportunities for a party like PTI to muster support from masses," he held.
The JUI-F General Secretary further said that two major political parties had disappointed the people and all institutions of the country were at the verge of collapse. Now the people want a swift change in political landscape,
he added.
To a query, Haidri observe that the JUI-F was ready for general elections whenever they are held. However, the government should complete its constitutional term; he said adding that they were ready for polls even if it is
held next month.
The JUI-F’s leader said that time of new elections was approaching and political rallies were part of the game.
To another question, he said his party was least bothered about Azam Swati’s quit; adding that Swati’s brother Laeq Khan was still an MNA of JUI-F.
"You cannot hold someone in the party for long by force. Don’t you see that a man like Javed hashmi has left PML-N," Haidri added.
A few days back, JUI-F Chief, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has announced to
launch a countrywide mass-contact campaign as part of party’ preparations for the upcoming general polls election. He went on to say that the party will hold public meetings, seminars and rallies to mobilize party workers and the masses for the
general elections.
