In an unfortunate and shocking incident, unknown (who are not really) killed Syed Baqar Shah, the police surgeon who had conducted postmortems of victims of the Kharotabad shooting spree.
The man, who revealed the hidden truths of Kharotabad incident without taking any pressure, had narrowly escaped an earlier attempt on his life. However, he stood with his stance on his medical findings that those killed in the incident were all wounded
by bullets and not of a hand grenade attack as claimed by the police and Frontier Corps (FC).
His findings had contradicted the official version of the law enforcement agencies and raised many questions about the credibility of those who supervised the brutal operation and killed the alleged foreigner suicide bombers in the broad daytime.
After his killings, a key element of the case that once made big headlines has gone away. He was shot five times from close range by ghost riders.
With extensive bravery, he was a man who solely made it possible for some truth to come out from that silvertip liaison. His killing indicates a significant victory for those who incessantly attempted to sleek over the chapter.
In that perspective, the killing represents how helpless and feeble truth-seekers have become in the country.
Those, who perform their responsibilities sincerely and put the call of their principles before anything else, have no protection. The ill-fated doctor was scarce type and that is why the Balochistan High Court (BHC) directed the authorities concerned to
provide him maximum protection.
Unidentified assassins ended up the lethal task with mechanical calm and mathematical exactitude. In an unparallel move, they did not harm Dr. Baqar’s companion.
The incident depicts utmost confidence of attackers about the absence of law enforcement agencies at one of the busiest places of the provincial metropolis. Those who were responsible for his security issued routine statements after the incident in order
to clear their positions.
Nawab Aslam Raisani, the stagnant chief minister of the province, condemned the incident, ordering to investigate the incident. Obviously, this will not renascence of killed doctor.
The CM himself, who is under threat of killing, is qualified to protect anyone in the province.
The family of deceased would always be thinking that the doctor made incurable error of being truthful in the heaven of goons and killers where the only rule for live is to deceive and support the evils.
