Corrupt people always find corrupt leaders to rule them

Islam reveals that corrupt people always get corrupt leaders because they deserve it and honest people always find honest and sincere rulers, who help them in every possible way and work for their welfare.
By keeping these Islamic teachings in mind, if we look around in our society in Pakistan, and our leaders, both are seemed to have stemmed from the same mentality, which is to get personal benefits.
This mentality of people keeps them busy in devising plans to gain personal interests with all possible means. Moral obligations hold no importance for these people who belong to every class of the society.
People always blame that the rulers are busy in corruption and other illegal acts, but never pay heed to their own deeds. Even a clerk in secretariat never misses a chance to get bribery, no matter whether it is just 50 rupees. Same is the case with the
staff in the police department.
In our society, people are afraid of going into police station in order to register a report, as they know that they have to bribe the police officials for taking the right action. These police officials are just like other corrupt people in the society,
then why a corrupt man is afraid of police if he himself is like them.
The reason is that the moral bankruptcy of people has reached to its climax and they think that achieving their personal gains is their right and the difference between right and wrong holds no significance for them.
A milkman never forgets to mix water, at times dirty water, in his milk to increase its weight. For getting a driving licence, people have to give extra money to the agents as without it they will have to visit the office for numerous times.
Same is the situation in the passport office where agents charge extra money to save you from standing in the row.
Every class of the society has become corrupt as people do not let any chance go to earn some personal benefits by all means whether fair of foul. The morality has become a characteristic of our forefathers.
Only those people are successful in the current corrupt society who are clever and know how to create opportunities for gaining their materialistic benefits.
When all of us are corrupt in one way or the other, then we do not have the right to blame only on our leaders because they are just like us. We do not deserve true leader because only honest people deserve honest leader.
We have still time, as it is never late, to review our priorities and privileges of life and refine ourselves, which is the only way to get sincere leaders who will work for the welfare of general masses, not for their own interests.
