Deceased North Korean leader Kim Jong-il awarded title of “DRPK hero”

The deceased North Korean supreme commander Kim Jong-il has been awarded the title of “Hero of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)”.

An announcement was made on late Friday at the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly which states for their general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the
Korean People’s Army late Kim Jong-il, as he       

“Performed undying revolutionary feats for the country and its people, the times and history, he developed in depth the Juche idea, the Songun idea founded by President Kim Il Sung, and developed the WPK, army and state. Shining with his immortal name and
placed the country’s dignity and power onto the highest level. Achieving the victory of the socialist cause as world peace and stability, friendship and solidarity among people under the uplifted banner of independence against imperialism.”

Just two day ago thousands of North Koreans arrived to bid farewell to their long time and beloved leader Kim Jong-il as the country heads into anther eleven-day mourning period after their military staged a funeral in the snowy streets of the capital Pyongyang.

Kim Jong-il’s funeral started with the three-hour long procession at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, where the body of Korean leader was laid after his death on 19th December.                                       

With his father’s death, North Korea finally declared Kim Jong-Un their new supreme leader on Thursday.

The declaration was made in-front of hundred and thousands of military personals as well as civilians who all came to demonstrate their respects for Korea’s new designated ruler.

However, the recently named “Supreme Commander”, who will take the rudder of the nuclear-armed communist country while merely in his late 20s, also will play a brief political responsibility by meeting a collection of well-known South Koreans who have relations
with the North.
