Jason Bonham, an English drummer and the son of late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, has denied that the English rock band is planning for a summer reunion to perform at London Olympics 2012.

Led Zeppelin performed their last concert at the O2 Arena in 2007 with Jimmy Page on lead guitars, Robert Plant on lead vocals, John Paul Johns played Bass guitar while Bonham took place on his late father’s place on drums.

After that concert, there were widespread speculations about the full reunion of the English rock band. However, it was not the case, much to the dismay of Zeppelin’s fans.

With the summer Olympics opening ceremony in London in the near future, fans were again hoping that their favourite rock band will be performing yet again on stage. However, Bonham has denied about the reunion.

“I haven’t spoken to Robert for about six months, but he is really enjoying himself. For me you can never say never. If you ask me today is it going to happen immediately, well no, there is no talk of it. But if you said to me in 2007 I would play with Led
Zeppelin in December [of] that year, I would [have said] you’re nuts, so you never know”, he revealed.

Reports confirm that Paul McCartney will either perform at the opening or closing ceremony of the competition while organisers are still in search of few more British bands to perform at the Olympics.
