The year ends with a flurry of rumours about Apple and its series of new products in the new year, 2012. However, company keeps the stance of remaining oblivious of such rumours.

The most anticipated new products are next generation models of iPad and iPhone. Aside from the two mobile computing devices, the iPod Nano is expected see major changes in its structure.

The most astonishing word on the street is that Apple has plans to plunge into the home entertainment market. It is speculated that the company might launch a new television in the latter half of the year.

The third generation of iPad, according to various sources, would be submitted on February 24, the birthday of Steve Jobs. With 10-inch screen, the biggest news would be in one of its features, with a long battery life to 20 hours of work. The iPad
2 would drop significantly in price to compete with offerings from its counterparts, Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Banes and Noble’s Nook Color. However, a very authentic source has leaked a news that iPad 2012 model will be released in two parts. The two models
present a smaller screen, between 7.35 and 7.85 inches and the other with the usual 10-inch display. This Mini iPad would sell for about $200.

Apart from the output of the iPhone 4S this year, Apple will be limited to update the iPhone 4.

The most unique novelty would be the entry of the company in the world of television—an iTV—that could reach the market in the third quarter. Apple proposed two models of 32 and 37 inches. This TV would allow access to the catalogue of iTunes and the App
Store and the overall internet. The iPad, iPod and the iPhone could serve as a remote for them. The Wall Street does not rule incorporating the virtual assistant Siri oral control device.

The major hint of a new television from Apple was revealed by Walter Isaacson in Steve Jobs’ biography, where he quoted Jobs saying, “I’d like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use. It would be seamlessly synced with all of
your devices and with iCloud. No longer would users have to fiddle with complex remotes for DVD players and cable channels. It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it.”
