Use your friends and family on Facebook and Twitter to know your plans as witnesses. This way cheating on the resolution becomes difficult as people will be asking from time to time
of your plans. There is no shame in letting your friends about the problems and their solutions that you have formulated.
Break the plan in to small routine activities. For example, if the New Year’s resolution is to save money to buy a new car at the end of the year, break the plan into smaller piece like dropping money in a saving’s jar or a separate account in the bank.
This way the monthly chart will keep you motivated toward continuing and further enhancing your plan.
Use your phone as an assistant in keeping tabs on the schedule that you have set to achieve the objective. For example, if the goal is to reduce weight, set reminders for daily exercise and walks in after hours.
Use professional tools to keep log of the activities in that regard. There are a number of accounting applications available on the internet. Fitness application like FitBit and Adidas MiCoach are helpful in reducing wait by keeping track of the exercise
and weight loss over the period of weeks and months. These tools will most certainly motivate you in furthering your plan.
Moreover, a gift is also a motivation in continuing what good activity you are pursuing. For example, if you are saving for a new house, gift yourself a comfortable couch if you have achieve ahead of the target. The couch will always augment your living
room in your new house in addition to your current place.
