Samsung Galaxy Note: A complete Tech Spec Review – Part 2
Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 5:41:25 by Usman KhalidInside the slim (9.7mm in breadth) casing is a massive dual core processor that is clocked at 1.4 GHz. The processor is quite fast and efficient; there is not much stutter felt while navigating through the menus. This dual-core semi-conductor provides the
power to Google’s Android Gingerbread operating system. Although the OS is quite a bit low tech for its peers in the market, Google announced that the company will release an update for it to embrace Honeycomb and even the new Ice Cream Sandwich operating
system.
However, the Gingerbread works fine on the dual-core and surely the ICS will also run very smoothly on the powerful processor.
The processor is assisted by 1 GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity of the phone is limited at two denominations, 16 GB and 32 GB. However, the users can also increase this capacity with an external micro-SD card of up to 32 GB.
The screen is marvellous as the rest of the phone is. The Note boasts a Super AMOLED screen with a Gorilla Glass—scratch-less—protection. The screen has a gigantic 800 x 1280 display that is capable of playing full-HD videos. The colour palette is filled
with massive 16 million colours to show the true beauty of the nature.
Behind the casing resides an 8 mega-pixel camera that is capable of capturing 1080p of full-HD video in 24 to 30 frames per second. The front facing secondary camera is not bad either with a snapper of 2 mega-pixels. This gives a nice and elegant touch to
video chatting.
WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 are standard features and in addition to GPRS and EDGE, the phone also supports 3G network. The phone is available in both GSM and LTE models. Currently both are not available in the North American region.
