3 Hollywood movies to look forward to this year

The Avengers, GI Joe and The Dark Knight Rises are three films everyone should be looking forward to in 2012.

Hollywood had a decent year in 2011, with a number of movies doing the business at the box office, while others managed to entertain audiences and connect with them as well. Yet as the past year drew to a close, everyone was given a taste of what to expect
in 2012, and an overwhelming majority seemed to like it.

The Avengers

Putting a number of superheroes together on the same screen has always been a fantasy for many and it is set to turn into reality with the Avengers.

Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Hulk are all set to team up and take on Loki in what has to be one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year.

However, one has to wonder if it will end up being a case of too many chefs ruining the broth or whether each individual star will shine in sync with the rest.

The Dark Knight Rises

If you have not seen any of the trailers for Christopher Nolan’s latest project then chances are you have been living under rock that is under yet another rock.

The Dark Knight Rises is set to be the conclusion to the trilogy as Bane and Catwoman join the plot. The film has come under early pressure as audiences seem to be having deciphering Bane’s dialogue. Whether or not that will be a major issue remains to be
seen, or rather heard.

G.I. Joe: Retribution:

Bruce Willis and Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson have been brought in to fill the gap left by a number of stars who seem have left the project after the first movie.

Nevertheless, the trailer for the film was as eye poppingly delicious as it was surprising. Yet, one has to wonder if the sequel will have the impact it wants not only in terms of box office revenue but critical reception as well.
