Canon and Nikon unveils professional SLR D4

Nikon has introduced the D4 SLR aimed at professional photographers. It has a full frame sensor of 16.2 million pixels and is capable of firing up to 10 images per second in full autofocus. The most impressive features are, however,
operating with very low light and that it records video at 1080p and 25 frames per second, with uncompressed HDMI output.

The D4, priced at reportedly about 5,800 Euros will be available till next February. With this camera, Nikon is on a par with Canon, which last October announced its flagship EOS 1DX.

Both cameras have similar features and maximum performance that can give a professional SLR, the same size as the film reel. The 1DX Canon has an 18 megapixel sensor which shoots up to 14 images per second, but Nikon says that
its autofocus is highly accurate. 

The Nikon D4 is an intelligent evolution D3s, which was announced in October 2009.With the ISO to 12,800, which can be expanded to 204,800, you can make stunning pictures in low light scenes or with a large telephoto lens with
shallow depth of field.

D4 meets the shutter speed and focus accuracy with high image quality. Due to a new processor and autofocus system, bringing together the best of the extensive experience and professionalism of Nikon.

The newest of the D4 has the ability to record video at 1080p and 25 frames per second or 720p and 50 frames per second, up to a total of 20 minutes, which is why Nikon has dubbed an SLR camera. It is now possible to record videos
directly using the HDMI output.

The camera has a viewfinder 100% ultra luminous and controls light to take pictures in dim light. It has two slots, one for high speed CF card and another for the new format xQD, based on CF but much faster. The rear screen is
3.2 inches with 921,000 pixels.

The Japanese had to delay and cancel many projects due to the tsunami in March but it looks like that 2011 will prove out to be very useful year for the technology lovers.
