Islamabad: (Monday, January 09, 2012) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has revealed in his book that Gen (Retd) Pervez Musharraf’s approval for PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif to return Pakistan was mysterious. He has alleged
involvement of foreign hand behind the former Prime Minister’s return to the country three years ago.
Talking about Nawaz Sharif in his book ‘Me and my Pakistan’ Khan also referred to the meeting of All Pakistan Democratic Movement where from Nawaz Shairf excused for about 40 minutes to respond to British Foreign Minister’s phone
call.
Taking the opportunity, Imran, who addressed reporters today at the launching ceremony of his book here, said terming ‘Tsunami of people’ as a result of establishment’s support was a sheer disrespect to the nation.
Referring to the incident in which he was manhandled by Islami Jamiat-e Talaba (IJT) in Punjab University, Imran alleged Pervez Elahi for giving money to one of IJT member for misbehaving with him on Pervez Musharraf’s directives.
Talking about Asfandyar Wali, the ANP chief, Imran said he agreed to participate in the general elections only after persuaded by the US.
While dedicating his book to his sons – Suleman and Qasim, Imran said he was hopeful of Pakistan’s future as the nation had had enough of the present rulers and was craving for change.
