Why making an example out of Pervez Musharraf is crucial for Pakistan

Pakistan has been ruled by cruel and incapable military dictators for over half of its life after being made a free and independent country back in 1947 after decades of struggle by the common people looking for a nation in which they could rule instead
of being ruled.
Without a doubt, dictators have viciously tried to kill the flower named Pakistan many, many times by taking away its basic necessity for life and prospering, which is democracy and the rule of law and the constitution.
The former unelected President by force and chief of army staff, Pervez Musharraf, has announced a comeback into the political scene of the struggling nation once again, but this time through democratic ways.
If looked at closely, it is hard imagining him winning a seat anywhere in Pakistan, even in his hometown of Lahore, but that is not something we will be discussing.
The topic now is why making an example out of Pervez Musharraf is crucial for Pakistan in every single aspect.
It is not hard to see that the risk of another democratically elected government is never at ease in regards of being overtaken by the military, which is certainly a depressing situation as this is probably the only nation in the world that is facing an
issue where the men with guns can push around the representatives of the people and stomp the constitution as they wish.
In order to close these doors for the military once and for all, Pervez Musharraf must be made an example out of according to the supreme law of the land, which is the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Any person who breaks the constitution directly, indirectly or even plans on doing such things is liable to the hanged till death, which is something that we must support if we want to see a strong and prosperous Pakistan.
Law is everything for people in the world and the only way to progress as a state and society is to implement it in word and spirit. Those wanting to choose such paths must be forced to think multiple times before taking the action and fear what consequences
they might face.
The government has announced that Musharraf will be arrested right then and there when he will land in Karachi later on in January, which is the right step and must be taken to begin the process of accountability.
Some might have forgotten, but I will never forget the moment when this country was put into a state of emergency and people from all walks of life, especially the lawyer community was thrown behind bars due to their desire for a free and fair society where
law ruled, not a dictator.
We as citizens certainly do desire to see the day when our nation will rank amongst the strongest countries in the world, not only in terms of army capability, but in education, economy, manpower, ingenuity and freedom, protection and security of life.

I respect what you wrote but we should not forget what Pervez Musharaff did for Pakistan. He stabilized the economy of pakistan. I still remember we had fuel and gas while he was the president of Pakistan. Price of dollar was 60rs but now its 90. 50% increase. At that time our political leaders did’nt tell us that if want to use sui gas at our residence we should stop using gas heater and geazers.
This discussion goes a long way but my light might go in next 4 minutes.
So here’s another example we were’nt so much bothered about loadshedding at that time.
Yes lets only make an example out of those who wear the uniform, but the thieves in civvies get a break because you could care less about the incompetent judiciary and law enforcement who have never been able to put these thieves behind bars. The best you can hope for is to put an honest General who at least did some good for the country behind bars and call it a huge victory for the useless, unjust democracy that you love to show off in front of the World.
On the day of judgment, the ones being punished won’t be the ones breaking our constitution, rather the ones who have stolen and hoarded ill-gotten wealth from whatever little is left in this land of ours.
Lets start with making an example of those who break the law on a daily basis because of massive loopholes in our law enforcement and judicial system and lets let go of empty, symbolic gestures such as putting people into jail for violating the man-made constitution of ours which has been changed enough times already.
