Sunny Leone should not be treated as a social outcast in India says Justice Markandey Katju

Justice Markandey Katju, who is the chairperson of Press Council of India, has said that Indian people should not treat the Indo-Canadian porn star, Sunny Leone, as a social outcast because he believes Leone knows how to carry herself since she is a professional.

Sunny Leone made herself known in India by making an entry into the ‘Bigg Boss season 5’ house, which is one of the most possessed Indian reality shows. However, she had to face a lot of criticism from the Indian nation due to her profession, as people believed her presence on the TV shows will spoil their children.

Nevertheless, Katju reckons Leone is a decent lady and therefore should not be looked down as a porn star. He stated Leone was brought up in the USA and being a porn star is legal over there.

“Sunny Leone was earning her livelihood in USA in a manner acceptable in that country, though it is not acceptable in India. Hence if she conducts herself in India in a manner which is socially acceptable in India and does not breach the social moral code in India, we should not treat her as a social outcast,” Katju said in a statement, DNA reports.

Meanwhile, Leone also received some positive comments from the Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan, who co-hosted the Bigg Boss show along with Sunjay Dutt. Salman also thinks Leone is very professional in her work and she will certainly not do anything cheap in India.

“I have seen her on Bigg Boss and she was good. I believe she’s very professional in her work and hard-working. So when I do have a typical Indian girl kind of role, I will think about her,” adds Salman.

After keeping all the facts in front, it seems as if Sunny Leone, who apart from being a porn star is a businesswoman and model, has finally been accepted by the Indian people.

Sunny Leone, who recently became the most googled celebrity in India, is currently looking forward to make her debut in the Bollywood industry via Mahesh Bhatt upcoming movie ‘Jism 2’.
