Zavisa to finalize team-plans for Pakistan
Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 4:55:44 by Shahrukh SohailPakistan coach Zavisa Milosavljevic is set to finalize his plans for the Pakistan National Team in the near future.
The Serbian tactician, who was hired by the PFF last year, is close to completing his report on how to improve the Green-Shirts’ performances on the International front.
“Yes, Zavisa has submitted his one-year plan to the PFF and we will discuss it with him when he arrives from Serbia in the middle of this month. The coach has sought more international exposure and quality training for the team both at home and abroad in
order to instill qualities in the players that are necessary for playing at the international level.Although the plan is ambitious, efforts will be made to implement it keeping in view our resources,” said a PFF Official.
As there are no senior team fixtures, the trainer will primarily be turning his attention to the U-22 team and according to the official, the PFF will be contacting foreign countries so that the team can hold their camp there for a while.
“We will try our level best to contact certain countries where the camp could be held for a few days. We will contact certain countries and hopefully will be able to make a deal with any one whether it is Thailand or any other country,” he said.
According to reports, Zavisa is keen to address the issue of International exposure and is looking to play as many friendly games as possible before the commencement of the U-22 Asian qualifiers. It is said that the Serb will try to invite teams to play
the Green-Shirts in Pakistan and also attempt to give some coverage to football in the country.
Currently enjoying his holidays in his native homeland, upon his return the coach will assemble the players he had been scouting in the Premier League and will hold an almost 15-long conditioning camp for them.
Whether Zavisa succeeds in transforming Pakistan into a true force remains to be seen, but the plans he has thought of are definitely the right ones.
